In my first teaching demo, I prepared activities that could energize the class, but of course, it was aligned with the topic that I discussed in the class. After that, I asked them if they have noticed things or words that are familiar to them. With that kind of activity, I was able to ensure if they have prior knowledge about the topics to be discussed after the motivation. Also, when I asked them questions, I avoided speaking fast. Knowing the fact that English is a foreign language to them, making sure that every input or word I utter is understood is a must.

Given the time of 40 minutes to do my discussion, I had to maximize every activity so that I could follow my teaching plan. With the help of our supervisor and our cooperating teacher, Ms. Ana, I was able to formulate activities that suited the learners' level of understanding and capabilities. Not compromising the quality of learning, I was able to employ the effective lesson planning and teaching in all my classes.
