Teaching System

In our first visit at Future School, I have noticed the musical symbols around the campus. That day, 5th of September 2023, was the opening of the Academic Year 2023-2024. The program was graced by the school administrators and made the program grandiose with the sounding of the gong. which made the students and their parents feel the warmth of the new academic year’s entrance.

The school's curriculum and teaching methods are carefully designed to align with its educational objectives. This includes complying with Ministry of Education and Training regulations and offering supplementary and talent programs. Notably, the school teaches English and German as second languages alongside Vietnamese to prepare students for different educational systems while preserving cultural identity. This ensures students are well-prepared for further studies at local or international schools. Additionally, the school collaborates with an international hospital to enhance health education for its students.

During Classroom Observation

6th of September 2023

Aiming to motivate every learner in a classroom, teachers should think of ways to get the attention of the learners. During my class observation, I have noticed how Ms. Carmela effectively used a YouTube video to stimulate the class. Since it was the opening of their academic year, Miss Carmela asked her students about how their summer went and how they felt during their summer vacation. I have seen how a simple question could build a learner's confidence. English is not their native language, but I have seen how the learners exerted their efforts just to express their thoughts.

Laptop and television were the main ways of presenting a lesson in Future School. With the advent of functional technology, I have seen how the institution adapted to the elevating development of technology. One thing I liked about using television and laptop is that it gives more interest to the learners especially when it is packed with some graphics that does not corrupt the quality of lessons.

Ms. Carmela's topic was all about the countries that joined the FIFA World Cup. From that topic, she presented the countries together with their flags. After the presentation, Ms. Carmela let the students read the name of each country. To test if they have learned how to pronounce each name right, Ms. Carmela called random students and asked them to read it and if ever they commit some sort of mistake upon pronouncing, Ms. Carmela corrects them after and let the learner pronounce it properly. After that, Ms. Carmela asked everyone in the class to read together.
